About Us
Bhavan’s Research Center (BRC) for Microbiology, established in 2005, has its genesis in the Department of Microbiology of Bhavan’s College, Mumbai, India. The lab was set up with entrepreneurial support from the prestigious S.P. Jain Management and Research (SPJIMR).
BRC is proud to be one of the few academic enterprises in the country to be ISO/IEC 17025 accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). It partners with several Indian and multi-national industries for in-vitro and in-vivo claim support time-kill and antimicrobial studies for home and personal care products, besides bioburden testing, pathogen detection and preservative efficacy testing. It also has expertise in water microbiology, including evaluation of water purification systems. BRC is looking to expand the scale and scope of its activities by engaging a competent R&D Manager.
Overall
Lead the vertical of Microbiology Analytics & optimize & expand the Laboratory Operations to sustain BRC’s continuous growth.
Qualification
M.Sc. / PhD.
Experience
8 years in Lab area of expertise.
Competencies
1. Deep technical knowledge, to manage routine tests & to be able to Ideate to new projects/competencies.
2. People management.
3. Understanding complex protocols.
4. Customer focus.
5. Excellent communication & presentation skills.
6. Critical thinking to pursue improvement at all levels.
Role
1. Overall Techno-commercial responsibility of running the analysis segment to meet BRC's vision of being a leading knowledge center in Microbiology.
2. Lead development and implementation of microbiological services.
3. Oversee & facilitate efficient lab operation, system, business practices, consistent customer services & development of staff.
4. Develop/convert new business avenues/opportunities for further specialization and revenue enhancement.
5. Actively promote technical expertise to existing and new customers.
6. Identify and lead BRC towards new areas of recognition and accreditations.
7. Uphold Customer confidentiality and liaise with them for quick query resolution.
Salary
Commensurate with qualifications and experience and will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
